Jews of Color Initiative Announces Newest Grantees Creating
More Welcoming and Inclusive Communities

Jews of Color Initiative Highlights Grantees Committed to the Professional and Communal Advancement of Jews of Color

 

(New York) – The Jews of Color Initiative, an organization dedicated to advancing racial equity in the U.S. Jewish community, today announced their newest grantees.

 

“We are excited to showcase these incredible, dedicated grantees creating important change across the country,” said Ilana Kaufman, Executive Director, Jews of Color Initiative.  “These grantees support programs and people working to make our communities and institutions reflect the multiracial reality of the Jewish people today.”

 

The Jews of Color Initiative proudly announces the following grantees:

 

  • Lab/Shul
    • Lab/Shul will be supporting the leadership of JoC artist Luis Burgos in leading a JoC-centered virtual national Passover seder.

 

  • Jewish Alliance for Law and Social Action
    • JALSA will be supporting a JoC organizer who has developed a leadership program for Jews of Color in Boston.

 

  • Sandra Caplan Community Beit Din

 

  • Black Jewish Liberation Collective

 

  • SHIN DC (Sephardic Heritage International) DC
    • SHIN DC will establish leadership development for a JoC executive director.
