Fellow with Avodah’s Justice Fellowship in Chicago & Kansas City
Applications are now open for the Avodah Justice Fellowship in Chicago and Kansas City, a selective seven-month program that unites change-makers passionate about exploring justice, Jewishness, and the powerful intersections between the two. Justice Fellows will explore methods of social change while engaging in critical Jewish learning that will deepen, challenge, and nourish their everyday work. Through regular evening lessons drawn from Avodah’s cutting-edge curriculum, we’ll support Fellows in developing a systemic analysis on poverty, burnout inoculation, leadership skills, Jewish depth, and a robust communal network. Fellows will build an intentional, pluralistic community committed to the personal, professional, and spiritual growth needed to do impactful justice work long-term. If you have 2-8 years experience engaging in social and economic justice work in either a professional or personal capacity, we’re looking for you. Our Justice Fellows are activists, organizers, educators, social workers, non-profit staffers, movement leaders, artists, lawyers, lay leaders, health care professionals, and more. They are eager to explore the intersections of Jewish life and justice, committed to personal growth and community-building, and invested in working on critical justice issues for the long haul.
Are you the next Justice Fellow, or do you know someone who could be? We are accepting applications on a rolling basis for a mid Nov. start. You can learn more at our website, email us at apply@avodah.net, nominate the perfect candidate, or request an application to get started today!
