About the Facilitators:
Maryam Chishti (she/her) is the Co-Executive Director of The LUNAR Collective. Maryam is a fellow of the Ruskay Institute of Jewish Professional Leadership and a graduate of the Jews of Color Initiative’s inaugural Leadership Fellowship. She is also the proud founder of Moishe House Lower Manhattan, where she still lives. Previous work experiences include the Office of Senator Schumer, the NYC Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs, and the Hillary Clinton Campaign of 2016. Outside of LUNAR, Maryam writes and performs sketch comedy with Roadhouse Sketch.
Jenni Rudolph is a Los Angeles-based songwriter, vocal producer, and community-builder dedicated to amplifying untold stories. Raised on the periphery of multiple communities as a mixed race Chinese American Jew, Jenni’s work is inspired by duality, complexity, and authentic connection. She is a Johnny Mercer Songwriters Project alumna, Pat Pattison Songwriting Award scholar, and Berklee College of Music graduate with a B.M. in Songwriting. Jenni’s songwriting has uplifted audiences across the country, from museums (National Gallery of Art, Skirball Cultural Center) and film festivals (Asian American International Film Festival, Cinequest, DisOrient), to TV and other media (The Young & the Restless, Audica, PBS). Her credits include labels (Monstercat Silk, FSOE Parallels, Revelation Records), non-profits (The Canales Project), and various independent artists. Beyond her work in music, Jenni also serves as Co-Founder and Co-Executive Director of the LUNAR Collective, a national organization cultivating connection, belonging, and visibility for Asian American Jews.
The LA Pro Net is grounded in the everyday brilliance of those who attend the programming, creating a space for JoC leaders in the greater LA area to connect, build relationships, and positively impact the local JoC community. Who can come to events?
The Los Angeles JoC Professional Network is intended to be an affinity space for those who self-identify as Jews of Color. Since some events will include alcoholic beverages, all participants must be 21+.
