Domestic Violence Counselor/Advocate at Shalom Bayit

Shalom Bayit seeks a warm and dedicated counselor/advocate who will provide compassionate support to survivors of intimate partner violence. This position will be part of the highly-collaborative direct services team within an empowerment-focused, social justice agency working to shift the Jewish community’s response to domestic abuse.  The counselor/advocate will provide crisis intervention, safety planning, 1:1 peer counseling, and client advocacy through a culturally-competent Jewish lens. The counselor/advocate will also work closely with the direct services manager on client-focused programming, resource development and records administration. This position involves extensive on the job training, mentoring and opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Salary & Benefits
$26 – $28/hour ($54K – $58K FTE) depending on experience. Generous vacation, sick, Jewish holiday time, family leave, 403b retirement | Workplace committed to diversity, healthy boundaries and a respectful culture.

Job Location: SF Bay Area. The position will require some work from our East Bay hub. Remote hybrid options available.
