Director of Partnerships at Jewish Studio Project

Jewish Studio Project is hiring a Director of Partnerships to join our growing team and lead our organization in expanding strategic partnerships with Jewish organizations and networks. This position is full time, remote, and reports to Julianne Schwartz, Senior Program Director.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Since 2015, JSP has evolved from a small startup into a leading national organization with 12 staff, a $1.8M budget, a growing network of Facilitators and educators, and a community of thousands of participants. We are seeking a Director of Partnerships (a brand new role) to join our team as we expand. As a critical member of our growing team, the Director of Partnerships will work closely with JSP’s Co-Founders to lead our organization in expanding strategic partnerships with Jewish organizations and networks. The Director of Partnerships will help JSP standardize and streamline our partnership model, manage organizational partnerships and related programming, and build new relationships with key partner stakeholders – all in an effort to weave JSP’s practices and ideas more deeply into the wider Jewish ecosystem and beyond.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Design and standardize JSP partnership model

Distill and articulate partnership strategy.

Develop and standardize core programmatic offerings for partner organizations.

Streamline internal processes for partnership cultivation, intake, implementation, evaluation and follow up, etc.

Liaise between JSP’s program and operations teams to establish alignment, consistency and ongoing learning and improvement.

Develop and steward organizational relationships

Identify strategic partnership opportunities and proactively build relationships for mutual benefit.

Field incoming inquiries for partnership opportunities.

Manage national organizational partnerships and collaborate with JSP regional leads to support local partnership efforts in the Bay Area, Boston, Los Angeles, and beyond.

Create project management system

Guide organizations through relationship cycle with JSP with a high level of detail, care and support.

Work closely with the operations team to manage workflows, including: contracts, data management, impact reports, etc.

Support and expand the impact of the JSP Facilitator Network

Collaborate with JSP team to align facilitator and support capacity with partner organization needs.

Support growing JSP Facilitator Network with opportunities and systems to deliver programming to partner organizations.

ABOUT YOU

You are aligned with the mission and practices of Jewish Studio Project.

You are a strong communicator and relationship builder.

You have an entrepreneurial spirit and are excited to originate a role and lead with creativity.

You are experienced at wearing many hats: this role is part strategist, part matchmaker, part salesperson and part operational wizard.

You have excellent organizational skills and experience designing and managing multiple workstreams.

You have broad knowledge of the Jewish communal ecosystem.

You are familiar with anti-oppression frameworks and committed to interrogating systems of power and inequality in the world.

You are comfortable being direct with team and partner organizations in order to maintain deadlines and meet goals.

Your work reflects self-awareness, groundedness and humility.

Preference: Experience with Salesforce and/or work management software.

 

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Salaried, exempt position with an annualized salary range of $77K-$82K, which falls within JSP’s Director pay band.

40 hours per week. This will not be your typical 9-5 job. Work can take place during early morning or evening hours, and occasionally, on Sunday. Depending on program and organizational needs, we are open to some creative scheduling. We are committed to keeping the workload in alignment with the true hours worked.

TRAVEL
All JSP staff are expected to attend annual team-building retreats and our annual network retreat. Additionally, this role may travel for networking, relationship building, professional development or other needs as they arise.
