Development Associate – Chicago Region

PURPOSE OF THE JOB The Development Associate provides administrative support to the fundraising, programmatic, and communication work of the Chicago region, assisting the Regional Director to ensure overall success. This is an exciting opportunity for the right individual, offering valuable experience working in a non-profit environment on both a regional and national level. The Development Associate will be based in the Chicagoland area and able to work remotely with the exception of events and in-person meetings as required by their supervisor.

RESPONSIBILITIES Serve as the face of NIF of NIF greeting supporters and attendees at community gatherings and events Create and target program/event invitations and track RSVPs using Every Action CRM  Coordinate program/event invitations and follow-up through phone and email and ensure event data is tracked in CRM systems

Update and manage Raiser’s Edge donor database Arrange logistics for in-person and virtual events including travel and necessities for visiting speakers and guests Conduct prospective donor research using iWave and other tools Oversee completion of administrative reports, i.e., expenses, corporate credit card reconciliation Design database queries

Provide ongoing administrative support as required, including remote office support, answering calls and ordering office supplies  Help steward donor portfolio for gifts ranging from $500-$1,000, including solicitation and thank you communications by email and phone Other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Careful attention to detail Exceptional organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities Strong communication/interpersonal skills Ability to work quickly, skillfully, and calmly Familiarity with Microsoft Office (particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook) is required

 

PREFERRED

●    Professional experience involving administrative responsibilities – scheduling, expense reports, etc. ●    Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge, Every Action, and iWave Familiarity with Google Drive ●    Bachelor or Associate degree

COMPENSATION The salary range for this position is $46,500 – $51,000 USD annually.  NIF offers a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance; short-term and long-term disability; dependent coverage; flex spending; retirement match; vacation, sick leave, and paid holidays (Jewish and secular).
