The Jews of Color Initiative is funded by a growing consortium of funders. This currently includes the Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Foundation, Crown Family Philanthropies, The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation, the Jewish Community Federation & Endowment Fund, the Jewish Community Foundation of Los Angeles, the Jewish Community Response and Impact Fund, the Jacob and Hilda Blaustein Foundation, the Jim Joseph Foundation, the Leichtag Foundation, the Lippman Kanfer Foundation for Living Torah, the Nathan Cummings Foundation, the One8 Foundation, the Righteous Persons Foundation, the Rodan Family Foundation, and the Walter and Elise Haas Fund.
Framed by the concepts of Racial Justice and Equity as well as centering the voices and experiences of Jews of Color, the Initiative is dedicated to grantmaking, research and field building, and community education. The Initiative hosts the nation’s first-ever philanthropic and capacity building fund expressly dedicated to responding to racial injustice through helping further establish, fortify and build-out the field of support for Jews of Color. Building and strengthening the field for Jews of Color is essential work that requires investment and partnership. There are myriad ways to engage. We invite you to join us.
